If Traditional Therapy doesn't feel quite right for you...

    What is YOUR Origin Story?

Like the heroes and villains in our favorite movies, we all have a "story of origin" that is generally relatable but is ultimately unique to ourselves. We are indelibly imprinted by the circumstances occurring while we are still in the womb, our actual birth, events in our childhood and our relationships with our parents and families.

This is when our original and most crucial story is created and every person, relationship and situation we experience afterward is influenced by and filtered through this story. There is no outrunning our origin story because it is embedded in our human consciousness.

Has anyone ever asked you, perhaps in a moment of exasperation, "Why are you like this?" Did you have a clear answer? Would you like to have one?

You and I would invite your intuition and higher-self to participate in the conversation and to guide us to what is really at play: Your inner-knowing or intuition is our best guide.
What is your subconsciousness up to? How is it influencing your life decisions and everyday choices? In what are your ACTUAL beliefs about yourself, both negative and positive, grounded?
Are you on automatic pilot rather than making conscious, gut-guided decisions?
What inner-knowing are you discounting or ignoring out of fear of change and the criticism of others?

"feel it. the thing that you don’t want to feel.
    feel it and be free."

Or You want to enhance your current therapy...

    General Life Coaching

My general life coaching services can be supportive at any stage of life. There's not always an active crisis or dramatic event but a feeling of overwhelm or panic can suddenly set in. Often we can be impacted by stressors that are subtle but powerful in their effect on us. I can help you sort through the chaotic thoughts, feelings, fears and doom-scenarios, both real and imagined by which you may be influenced.

Our friends and family love us and want to be helpful but they have their own baggage, their own vision of you and their own agenda around what is "best." Its not intentional but it is unavoidable for their advice and input to be richly colored by these factors. I can offer you objective guidance, support, and neutral observation to help you identify subconscious blocks that are impeding the growth or change you desire.

    Relationship Support; Endings And Beginnings

     Endings are hard...

.......however, for every ending there is a new beginning waiting to happen and you have to decide what kind of bridge you want to build between those two places. There are two ways to leave any relationship, romantic or otherwise; running away in the dead of night with no intention of taking accountability and learning OR you walk away in the light of day and offer the courtesy of conversation and shared grieving over something now at an end.

I have navigated the path of divorce as a parent and the associated complexities and the experience grew me in only the best ways. I support couples or individuals to be accountable for the history and pain they brought to the relationship, how that affected the other person and will likely affect anyone else and would likely contributed to the same outcome in the future.

Our focus would not be on the division of property, visitation rights, rehashing grievances or competing for who was the bigger victim. This is about constructively coping with the ending of something significant and gaining clarity and perspective.

It's about recognizing how every relationship and every ending is a co-creation by both people and embracing the fact that neither of you is the same person now as you were when you met. After all, that's what relationships do; they change and re-shape us and thereby gift us with invaluable insights and lessons, if we allow for it. And if there are children involved, what a wonderful opportunity to model rational and compassionate behavior in the midst of loss and emotional upheaval.

What if we frame all relationships as growth experiences rather than obsessing over "making it last" no matter how damaging? What if we choose to experience the ending of a significant relationship not as a "failure" but as a natural course of the human experience?

    Parenting SUpport

There are endless books and courses on the topic of parenting. Advice and opinions abound, whether invited or not! In my career as a child welfare worker, I have worked extensively with families in crisis and have a thorough understanding of basic child development. On this platform I offer general support to parents who are navigating the treacherous waters of parenting in a time that can't really be compared to any other. The threats, both real and imagined are complex on a good day and truly terrifying on the worst. These factors, when paired with any significant family turmoil, can easily cause feelings of overwhelm and it can be beneficial to process whatever is happening with a neutral party.

    About Your Coach

B.A in Psychology (Minor in Addiction Treatment) M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Professionally, I have always worked in Human Services/Crisis Intervention and in Child Protective Services. I've been coaching since 2016.
In recent years, I've completed a five year Intuitive Counseling Program which incorporated spirituality and higher consciousness study in conjunction with main stream therapy. This occurred after my own midlife-"ah ha moment" around "why am I like this?." While it was a deeply spiritual event, it led to very material life changes.

Most recently, I have obtained my Peer Support Worker Certification under the supervision of the State Board for Behavioral Health Professionals. This holds me accountable for upholding basic state regulated therapeutic best practice standards.
